Welcome to Historic Lambertville

Founded in the 1700’s, Lambertville is loaded with historic sites and buildings, especially in the downtown area, that would be of interest to the out-of-town visitor.  The best way to learn about and appreciate Lambertville’s many historic buidings and sites is to take a guided or self guided tour.

Guided Walking Tour
Conducted by an experienced Historical Society guide, tours are given the first Sunday in the months April through October.  Tours start at the Society’s Marshall House Museum, 60 Bridge Street at 2:00 pm and are about an hour in duration.  No registration for the tour is required.  The tours are free as is entrance to the museum.

Self Guided Walking Tour
One can also take a self-guided walking tour of over a dozen sites in the downtown area by starting HERE.  The tour starts at the Marshall House Museum (60 Bridge Street), the boyhood home of James Marshall who discovered gold in California in 1848.  Entrance to the museum is free. It is open Saturdays and Sundays 1 pm to 4 pm from the last Sunday in April through November.
